Funding your wallet

Campaigns run on a pre-paid wallet — here's how funding, billing, and auto-pause work.

How the wallet works

Every advertiser funds a wallet before launching campaigns. Clicks are billed against this balance in real time as Argus verifies them — there's no invoicing or credit. Your wallet balance is the ceiling: spend is hard-capped to what you've funded, so you can never be billed into a negative balance.

Funding your wallet

  1. 1Go to Wallet in your advertiser dashboard
  2. 2Choose a funding method — card, bank transfer, or mobile money
  3. 3Enter the amount you want to load (minimum $10, or the USD equivalent in your local currency)
  4. 4Confirm the payment — funds appear in your wallet as soon as the payment is processed

Funding methods

  • Card payments (Visa, Mastercard)
  • Bank transfer
  • Mobile money — M-Pesa, MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, and other regional providers via Flutterwave

How clicks are billed

Every time a user clicks an ad, Argus screens the click for fraud in real time. Only clicks that pass the check are billed to your wallet at the bid you set — fraud-flagged clicks are never charged. The cost is deducted from your balance immediately, so your wallet and your campaign analytics always agree.

Auto-pause on low balance

When your wallet balance gets too low to cover further clicks at your set CPC, the campaign automatically pauses so you're never billed beyond what you've funded. You'll see a low-balance notice in your dashboard before this happens.

Topping up to resume

  1. 1Go to your Wallet
  2. 2Add funds via card, bank transfer, or mobile money
  3. 3As soon as the top-up clears, paused campaigns resume automatically at your existing settings — no need to relaunch

Transaction history

Your wallet logs every movement — top-ups, per-campaign debits for verified clicks, and any adjustments — in a full transaction history. Use it to reconcile spend against your campaign analytics at any time.

Unused balance

Any balance you don't spend stays in your wallet and is available to fund future campaigns whenever you're ready. If you ever decide to close your account, check your dashboard for refund options for the remaining balance.
