Developer Terms
These Terms govern your access to and use of Adscod's APIs, sandbox environments, sample code, documentation, and other development tools and resources.
Effective Date: March 28, 2026
By accessing or using any Developer Tools, you agree to these Terms, as well as Adscod's Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy, and any applicable service terms.
If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity to these Terms.
1. License and Access
Subject to your full compliance with these Terms, Adscod grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to use the Developer Tools solely to build, test, and deploy integrations or applications that interact with Adscod's platform or services for lawful and authorized business purposes.
You agree to:
- Use unique API credentials (tokens or keys) assigned to your developer account.
- Keep all credentials secure and confidential.
- Immediately report any suspected misuse, breach, or compromise of your credentials.
- Use only the latest version of the Developer Tools provided.
2. Developer Obligations and Restrictions
You shall not:
- Use the Developer Tools in a manner that violates any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right (including data privacy laws).
- Modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Developer Tools.
- Bypass or interfere with any access restrictions, rate limiting, or security mechanisms.
- Use the Developer Tools to build a product or service that competes with Adscod.
- Distribute, sublicense, or sell access to the Developer Tools without prior written consent.
- Use the Developer Tools to scrape or harvest Adscod data for commercial resale.
- Access or attempt to access payment, wallet, or Flutterwave integration endpoints beyond the scope of your authorized API permissions.
- Store, log, or transmit wallet PINs, payment credentials, or wallet ledger entries outside the authorized API response payloads.
2.2 Webhook Security Requirements
If your integration receives Adscod webhooks, you must:
- Verify the HMAC signature on every incoming webhook request using the secret provided in your developer dashboard.
- Implement replay-attack prevention by validating webhook timestamps (reject events older than 5 minutes).
- Process webhooks idempotently to prevent duplicate operations, especially for payment and payout events.
- Respond with a 2xx status code within 10 seconds; delayed processing must use a queue.
All use must be in accordance with technical documentation published by Adscod.
3. Data Usage and Intellectual Property
You may only access and process Adscod data (including user data, content, metadata, or analytics) with proper authorization and for the intended, disclosed purpose.
You may not:
- Persistently store or cache data without user consent or a clear lawful basis.
- Share or disclose any Adscod data with unauthorized third parties.
- Use or expose user data in a way that violates privacy laws or Adscod's policies.
- Access, store, or process wallet balances, ledger entries, or Flutterwave transaction references for purposes other than your authorized integration scope.
- Use fraud-detection data or internal risk signals to discriminate against or de-platform users outside the Adscod ecosystem.
- Use the conversion tracking pixel API or attribution endpoints to record events that were not generated by genuine user actions.
Adscod retains all ownership and intellectual property rights in and to the Developer Tools, APIs, content, and services. These Terms do not grant you any ownership interest in the Developer Tools or Adscod IP.
4. Usage Limits and Fair Use
Your use of the Developer Tools is subject to API quotas, rate limits, and service thresholds set forth in our documentation or communicated by us.
You must not:
- Exceed daily, monthly, or per-user request limits.
- Use multiple accounts, keys, or tokens to bypass rate restrictions.
- Run any automated systems or bots that cause excessive strain on our platform.
Violation of rate limits may result in throttling, suspension, or termination of your access.
5. Sandbox and Testing Environments
Adscod may offer a sandbox or test environment for non-production use. You may use the sandbox solely to test and evaluate API integrations.
- Sandbox data may be erased or reset at any time without notice.
- No real or sensitive user data may be used in test environments.
6. Term, Termination and Suspension
These Terms are effective as of your first access to the Developer Tools and remain in effect until terminated. We may suspend or revoke your access immediately if:
- You breach these Terms or any applicable policy.
- We reasonably believe your use poses a risk to our services, users, or infrastructure.
- We discontinue part or all of the Developer Tools.
Upon termination, you must immediately stop using and delete any Adscod data obtained through the Developer Tools, except as legally required to retain.
7. No Warranty; Limitation of Liability
THE DEVELOPER TOOLS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” ADSCOD DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ADSCOD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR LOST PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE DEVELOPER TOOLS.
8. Modifications to Terms and Tools
We may modify these Terms or the Developer Tools at any time. When we do, we will update the “Last Modified” date and provide notice via developer channels or your account dashboard. Continued use after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
9. Export Controls and Compliance
You represent and warrant that your use of the Developer Tools will comply with all applicable laws, including export controls, anti-corruption, sanctions, and data protection regulations. You may not use or access the Developer Tools if you are located in a jurisdiction that is subject to embargo or government restriction.
