Our strategy

Reshape the customer value proposition

Our goal for the new customer value proposition is to acquire, retain, and strengthen our business-customer relationships. The Company will reshape its customer value proposition based on first-hand research conducted and input solicited from Ugandan small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The Company will structure its subsequent offering to directly address its critical needs in digital marketing. Adscod's core offer will no longer be product-centric but rather provide content-centric solutions for SMEs that are facing marketing and advertising challenges due to limited budgets. Due to the disintegration of the digital market today, SMEs require synchronized content across more platforms to rank highly in search engine results as well as reach customers. The starting point is a basic business profile, including company name, expertise, address, and contact information. From there, the SME can expand its business profile by adding more engaging content, such as the business description, list of services offered, hours of operation, photos and videos, website URL, discount offers, or any other business information. Adscod will act as the SME’s content hub and then will syndicate that content across other large digital ecosystems like Meta, Google, Apple, Bing, Yahoo, etc.
Adscod is focused on providing digital solutions to Uganda’s local businesses and other global brands that serve local Ugandan markets. The company’s corporate strategy aims to evolve customer offerings and capabilities in tandem with a changing digital market. The company will focus on implementing a growth-oriented corporate strategy with these five key initiatives.

Implement new ways of selling

While Adscod has successfully shifted the skillsets and knowledge base of its sales team over time to meet the needs of a digital environment, the Company must now review the structure of its sales force. This currently remains aligned with legacy structures. Adscod requires greater flexibility to capture growth opportunities across customer segments, cost efficiencies, and increase competitiveness. Additionally, the Company will place greater emphasis on acquiring and retaining high spend, and high-potential customers.

Redefine and improve the customer journey

In the near term, Adscod will expand its customer offering to include services that facilitate commercial transactions to businesses. The Company will look to integrate transaction-oriented solutions across its customer base by addressing needs such as appointment, scheduling, and payment, making these services easily accessible and affordable to all SMEs in Uganda and East Africa in general.

Build the future state of the business

As the expectations of a digital customer are for simple and seamless interactions, this is the customer journey and experience Adscod will strive to create. The Company will align its tiered offering with five customer segments, divided by spending potential and critical marketing needs. Varying service models, product portfolios, and pinpoints will be implemented for each customer segment, all to eliminate digital complexity and create a customer experience that meets their critical needs. For low-spend potential customers, Adscod will develop and implement an automation or self-serve model to offer greater flexibility for customers and allow the Company to place resources on high-spend, and high-potential customers.

What is user-generated content?

User-generated content is an excellent strategy for gaining exposure for your brand while showcasing content from your customers. Innovative marketing businesses and teams are crafting strategies to leverage user content effectively to build a bigger brand, generate leads, and increase sales.

User-generated content is authentic content customers generate about a specific brand. It can stem from an encouraging, inspiring, and empowering call-to-action framework the brand sets up to raise interest and generate sales.

While positive customer reviews are the most well-known form of user content, this content goes further. It incorporates unsponsored, brand-specific social media posts and online platform content with images, text, audio, discussions, and more. In simple terms, User-generated content is more than just customer reviews.

Content marketing as a practice of creating and distributing online content to a targeted audience has become a critical customer communication element in marketing.

Furthermore, technology has fuelled massive changes in how customers consume and engage with content, making UGC a powerful content marketing tool for brand recognition, trust, and increased sales.

What are the benefits of user-generated content?

User-generated content is a powerful tool when used effectively as part of a holistic omnichannel marketing strategy. Some brands are wary of UGC because consumers hold power over the actual content generated.

However, with the right approach and framework, UGC can massively benefit brands and make content marketing seamless.

Research shows the following user-generated content (UGC) benefits:

  • Advertising based on user-generated content can result in a 400% increase in click-through rates, according to Join brands.
  • Power Review reports an 8.5% increase in conversion rates for website visitors served by
  • User-generated content– and a 100.6% conversion lift if they interact with the content.
  • User-generated content on a site can result in a 20% increase in returning visitors.

Why is user-generated content so powerful?

User-generated content is about consumer trust!

Communities have always shared stories and experiences. Technology has broadened the scope of experience-sharing with online platforms that allow consumers to share their experiences and help others make better decisions about products and services.

in simple terms, user-generated content is a digital version of word-of-mouth advertising. Word-of-mouth advertising is already a powerful marketing tool for any business because people tend to trust other people’s authentic experiences.

These experiences resonate because the people sharing them have nothing to gain; consumers can gain a real glimpse into the product or service.

Brands can share messages about their products or services, but when someone else spreads that same message, peers, friends, family, colleagues, and even strangers are likelier to listen to and trust the message.

Online reviews are a UGC element many of us encounter daily. You may seek user reviews when researching a vacation or purchasing an item from an online retailer. Each step of the customer journey is transparent, whether that involves products, services, packaging, delivery, or something else.

Other UGC forms that consumers listen to and trust include social media posts, peer reviews, testimonials, video content, blog posts, and Q&A sessions.

Statistics from the 2022 State of User-Generated Content report illustrate just how much consumers trust and engage with UGC:

  • 72% of consumers trust peer reviews and customer testimonials more than the same brand value messaging coming directly from a business.
  • Customers are nearly three times more likely to engage with a brand’s social media content than any other.
  • 76% of consumers have purchased a product because of someone else’s recommendations.
  • 64% of consumers have tagged a brand on social media.
  • 75% of users say they will seek customer reviews before making a purchase.

It’s clear that to gain consumer trust, retain customers, and attract new business, it’s crucial to get people outside your organization to create and share content about your brand.

How do you encourage user-generated content?

To build UGC into your business and encourage user-generated content participation, your brand must engage customers at every level of the sales funnel. These are the sales funnel’s four elements:

  • Know
  • Like
  • Trust
  • Buy

You’ll grow user-generated content in the first two stages:

  1. Know. Brand awareness is crucial. It involves marketing your brand and communicating its offerings and core beliefs.
  2. Like. Use storytelling around the brand’s beliefs to create sympathy and empathy for the brand.

In the next two stages, UGC’s full potential can expand:

  1. UGC evolves with customer trust. The challenge is creating a framework and motivation for consumers to express their brand experience in a way that benefits the brand. Once users generate content, there must be a methodology in place to broadcast that content and allow engagement.
  2. Buying occurs with a continual cycle of feedback and analysis. You’ll constantly monitor and improve the user experience to strengthen the brand, leading to additional sales.

How can you receive and showcase user-generated content?

With online and social media platforms, there are numerous ways for companies to showcase user-generated content. Social media sites are excellent places to engage consumers because many of your customers spend time on these platforms.

Here are some ideas:

  • Social campaigns. Tumblr and Instagram allow users to post quick reviews or highlight work. For example, a beauty products company’s Instagram campaign to engage users could include customers posting their before-and-after pictures of themselves after using the products. A TikTok contest could encourage influencers to try your products and perform demos.
  • Blogs. A company blog is another way to engage your customer base. Encourage users to comment on meaningful blog content you’ve created. Invite customers and industry experts to contribute guest blog posts. Expert blog content helps build trust with your brand as you provide valuable insights.
  • User-generated images. Companies can think outside the box even further and use user-generated artwork to decorate a store, pop-up, or conference booth. A campaign like this could be paired with social media. For example, taking the beauty products example mentioned earlier, the business could take the images, blow them up, and use them to decorate a booth at a conference, showing their work to real customers.

Work with your marketing team to design and implement the right user-generated campaign for your organization.

Coupons are a great tool used to trigger customers’ instincts to buy from you.

Using Adscod coupons, your business can offer different types of value, such as discounts, free delivery, buy-one get-one, trade-in for redemption, first-time customer coupons, free trial offers, launch offers, festival offers, and free giveaways.

Another important aspect of search engine optimization we are good at is creating high-quality, informative content, like pillar pages. We also cannot forget to optimize meta tags, title tags, and headers.

All these elements contribute to your website’s search engine optimization and can help improve your rankings.

Let us help you out.

Including relevant CTAs aligned to the buyer’s journey

Calls to action (CTAs) aren’t only effective for bottom-of-funnel offers in your navigation. Therefore, including them throughout your website is key to generating more leads. CTAs prompt visitors to take a specific action, such as signing up for a newsletter, downloading a free resource, or requesting a consultation.

Adscod identifies two types of CTAs: primary and secondary.

A primary CTA is the main action you want users to take when they visit your site. It usually appears prominent on every page, especially in your main navigation, for example. A typical primary CTA could be:

  • Start a free trial
  • Contact sales
  • Sign up/register

Secondary CTAs are more contextual. They provide alternative actions visitors can take. For example, you might include a CTA at the end of a blog that encourages them to download a guide or read related content.

Improving page structure

Research says it takes the average person between 3-5 seconds to decide if they want to stay on your website. So to convert leads, you must structure your pages in the most engaging and user-friendly way possible.

At Adscod, we start at the top by creating a header that clearly and succinctly communicates your value proposition, so visitors understand instantly what you do and who it’s for.

We also reinforce your value proposition with a hero image or other visual element that catches the reader’s eye. The main body of the page is where we can provide visitors with more information about your products and services. We understand that in marketing “Less is more.”

So, we focus on these elements:
  • Points of differentiation: what distinguishes you from your competitors?
  • Social proof: use customer logos, testimonials, and case studies to build trust and establish credibility before your website visitors.
  • CTAs: your main conversion points and offer the right content at the right time.

Optimizing website forms

Forms are often used to capture visitor information, such as email addresses or contact details, and provide an opportunity to get something in exchange for their submission. This might be a demo, conversation with sales, piece of content, or registration to your webinar.

To optimize your form completion rate, we keep these short and simple where possible by only asking for essential information that is necessary for your lead generation efforts. Because long and complex forms can deter visitors from completing them.

On the other hand, if we agree that you’re willing to trade quantity for quality, longer forms can sometimes indicate a stronger desire to purchase from you. Here, we can ask for more information to attract more committed leads.

However, we ensure the information is clear after the visitor completes the form. Your visitors should not feel like they’re entering a black hole of uncertainty. It’s important to set clear expectations and let them know exactly what they can expect after submitting their information.

A/B testing

A/B testing is a powerful technique for optimizing the website and generating more leads. It involves comparing two versions of a webpage or element to determine which performs better for conversions.

We conduct A/B testing to identify specific elements, such as the headline, CTA button, or page layout by creating two variations of the elements and randomly showing each version to different visitors, tracking and analyzing the results to determine which version yields higher conversion rates for you.

A/B testing allows our teams to make data-driven decisions, improve clients’ website performances, identify what resonates best with their specific audience, and optimize their lead-generation efforts accordingly.

Improving website performance

Many factors can affect website performance and impact customer experience. For many visitors, your website is the first interaction they have with your business, and the experience can make or break their perception of your brand in general.

A slow and poorly optimized website can make you look unprofessional. Some visitors may even question the level of security on your site. It can affect visitor retention and SEO as well.

Prolonged load times breed frustration. Google research found that bounce rates increase by 32% when load times increase from 1 to 3 seconds. While page speed isn’t as important as relevance for search ranking, poor performance can negatively impact traffic, lead generation, and conversion.

We help to maximize your chances of ranking in SERPs by optimizing your website load speeds for better performance.

Including product imagery or demos

Visual content is a powerful tool for generating more leads from your website. So, adding product imagery or demos allows visitors to visualize the benefits and features of your offerings, increasing their desire to learn more and potentially convert into leads.

When building any website for our B2B clients, we always include high-quality images that showcase their products or services from different angles or in various use cases. We incorporate videos or interactive demos where applicable to provide a more immersive experience.

Accompanying visuals with compelling and informative descriptions helps to highlight the unique selling points of your offerings to the visitors.
